Re: Margret Kopala

This is to gratefully acknowledge the key role of Margret Kopala in the creation of the Canadian Alliance and in the Alliance leadership contest.

Margret was one of the first influential Conservatives in the Ottawa area to meet with me personally to discuss the United Alternative concept.

She later participated in the United Alternative conventions, encouraged others to attend, and participated in bringing the Canadian alliance into being.

When it appeared that there might be no candidate for the CA leadership representative of Ontario Conservatives, Margret was willing to run herself. She later joined my PM4PM campaign where she was of great assistance.

Margret combines a solid grasp of federal issues with speaking and organizing skills and a devotion to CA principles. She will make a major contribution to the building of the CA in Ontario in whatever role she chooses to play.
